Hall of Wisdom: Towers and Orb production

What are Arcane Orbs?

Arcane Orbs contain the power of the three divine moons. They are needed to activate the Ascension Gates through which your Realm can ascend to a higher island, to get closer to the Eternal Light.

On every island, there is a specific amount of Orbs required to pass the Gate to the next island.

  • Cornicula (i1) → Midiata (i2): 7.000 Orbs required
  • Midiata (i2) → Tragonos (i3): 50.000 Orbs required
  • Tragonos (i3) → Panselon (i4): 180.000 Orbs required

During Endgame, the Arcane Orbs play a special role. The highest-ranked Realms of an island will be those who first reach the Eternal Light, followed by those who have gathered the biggest amount of Arcane Orbs (not to be confused with Eternal Orbs). So the Arcane Orbs are important throughout the whole game round.

Towers as Orb generators
Every Tower can be seen as an Orb factory. Every day, a Tower generates and stores Arcane Orbs for the Realm. The amount of Orbs that a Tower is able to produce and store depends on the level of the Tower. Once built, a Tower can be leveled up by donating resources to it. Every Realm member is able to donate resources to each Tower for it to reach a higher level. The maximal level a Tower can have depends on the island.

Tower Management Tools

The more Towers there are standing around on the map, the more difficult it becomes to keep a proper overview. There are two useful tools that you can use to manage Realm Towers faster and easier.

The Tower-Upgrade Map Mode

On the bottom right corner of the map you can switch between different map modes. One of them is the Tower-Upgrade mode.

It allows you to see the level and donation status of each Tower on the map and donate resources to them, without having to click through them one by one.

The Tower Overview Screen

A centralized Tower-management screen that can be accessed in your Realm Menu, which you can find in the upper left corner of the screen. The lowest menu icon will open an overview where you can see each Tower of your Realm, its level, status, production, capacity, donation status, its owner, and the pins attached to it. You can also donate resources to all the towers from the list, without even having to navigate through the map.

Overflowing Orbs
As soon as the maximal capacity of a Tower is reached, it does not produce Orbs anymore. However, in some cases, the number of Orbs inside a Tower is higher than the Tower’s max capacity. Those are called overflowing Orbs and the situation occurs if:

  • A Realm’s Towers are full but the Realm keeps gathering Orbs by raiding Goblin Towers or Towers of enemy Realms.
  • A Realm loses Towers because they get dismantled by the owner(s). In that case, the Orbs are not lost but moved to a Tower that still has free capacity, starting with the nearest ones. If there is no Tower with capacity left, they will be squeezed as overflowing Orbs in a Tower close to the Ark, even if its capacity is already reached.

Goblin Towers
Elves and Dwarfs are not the only ones who build Towers to generate Orbs. Goblins too feel the Arcane Power and build Towers where they store their Orbs. Goblin Towers are NPC targets on the map that can be attacked and raided.

Just like normal Towers, Goblin Towers also indicate the amount of Orbs as well as the fighting strength of the Goblin army inside the Tower. Warlords can be sent to Raid missions at Goblin Towers. Once the Goblins in the Tower are defeated, the remaining army remains at the Tower and the destruction of the Tower begins. Just like every other Tower, the Goblin Towers has 100 hitpoints and it takes 4 hours to bring the hitpoints to 0.

During these 4 hours, the Tower can still be attacked by other Realms. In this case, a fight between the two Realms takes place at the Tower and the winning army remains and continues with the destruction of the Tower. Once the 4 hours run out and the hitpoints hit the 0 mark, the following happens:

  • The Orbs of the Goblin Tower are transferred to the Realm that destroyed it.
  • The Goblin Tower turns into a ruin and disappears from the map within 12 hours.
  • Warlords start their return to the location they came from.

Please note: Every 12 hours, the Goblins build a new Tower somewhere on the map, providing there are enough free spots for them. So always keep your eyes open for new Goblin Tower spawns.
